Digital life certificate for Nagaland pensioners

Kohima, October 6 (MExN): The Government of Nagaland will accept the Jeevan Pramaan Digital Life Certificate for pensioners drawing pension through the State Government, following a notification issued by Chief Secretary Sentiyanger Imchen.

The notification stated that the digital system has been onboarded by the Government of Nagaland for obtaining life certificates required for the continued disbursement of pension to various categories of State Government pensioners, as well as pensioners of other State Governments and the Central Government who draw their pension through the Government of Nagaland.

A Life Certificate generated online through the Jeevan Pramaan portal using the pensioner’s Aadhaar number and Pension Payment Order (PPO) number will be accepted for pensioners drawing pension through the Government of Nagaland. The notification stated that the Jeevan Pramaan Digital Life Certificate system will be used for verification through Aadhaar biometric authentication and will be accepted as a valid life certificate.

The Pension Disbursing Agency may access the digital certificate through the Jeevan Pramaan portal without insisting on the personal appearance of the pensioner or a life certificate issued by the competent authority.
