KCG College of Technology, Chennai held its 21st Graduation Day in the campus on January 28.

Chennai, February 1 (MExN): The Vice-Chancellor of Anna University, Dr R Velraj, conferred academic degrees to 958 graduands of KCG College of Technology in the 21st Graduation Day held in the campus on January 28. The rank holders received medals and cash awards along with their degree certificates.
In the graduation day address, Dr R Velraj said, “Read the success stories of successful people and that is the only short-cut to achieve success in a short span of time.”
“Huge opportunities awaits Indian youths in the next two decades, to capitalize them know the strength, weakness, opportunities and challenges of oneself and the country. Increase your potential, decrease your resistance, upskill yourself, become multi-disciplinary, transdisciplinary and integrate emerging technologies with your specialised domain, take risks and involve in start-ups which the country is looking for,” he added.
Anand Sundaresan, Director, Management Board of AMMANN India Pvt Ltd the guest of honour and the Chairman Dr Anand Jacob Verghese also spoke during the function.
KCG College of Technology was founded in 1998 to fulfill the Founder-Chairman, Dr KCG Verghese’s vision of “To Make Every Man a Success and No Man a Failure.” It is a Christian minority institution, affiliated to Anna University (Autonomous), Chennai and approved by AICTE, New Delhi. The college offers thirteen under-graduate and five post-graduate programmes. Six under-graduate programmes (Mech, ECE, CSE, IT, EEE & Aero) have Permanent Affiliation under Anna University. Four under-graduate programmes – Aeronautical Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), and Information Technology (IT) – are accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA). The college is accredited by NAAC with A+ Grade.
The college has been listed in the 201-250 band among the engineering institutions in India by the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF). Five departments – CSE, ECE, EEE, Mechanical Engineering and Physics – have been approved as research centres by Anna University to offer PhD programmes.
