Dimapur, August 9 (MExN): The Lions Club of Dimapur Elite has extended relief support to flood-affected communities in Mon district by collecting and dispatching essential materials for families affected by the devastating floods.
The club said the floods had affected thousands of families, disrupting their daily lives and leaving many in urgent need of basic necessities. The relief materials were collected through contributions from club members and supporters and included cartons of clothes, hygiene and first-aid kits, stationery, sanitary pads, biscuits, cooking oil, steel utensils, bottles and containers, mosquito nets, bedsheets, atta, rice, buckets and school bags.
The materials were officially handed over and dispatched in the presence of President Ritika Jain, Secretary Sakshi Binaykia, Project Chairperson Vaidika Jain and Flood Relief Chairman PK Jain.
The relief items were received on behalf of Mon district by Jeange.
The Lions Club of Dimapur Elite said the initiative was aimed at providing hope, comfort and support to flood-affected families during the difficult period.
The club said the effort was also intended to remind affected families that they were not alone and that the community stood in solidarity with them during the crisis.
