Dimapur, March 2 (MExN): The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) has reached the threshold to potentially become the official opposition in the 14th Nagaland Legislative Assembly. A single party has to meet the 10% seat criterion to form opposition in the Assembly.

The NCP won 7 out of the 60 seats or 11% of the seats in the Nagaland Elections 2023.

However, it remains to be seen whether the party would take up the mantle or make other arrangement.
