Vigilance prog on cyber security in ICAR Nagaland Centre

Medziphema, October 18 (MExN): A capacity building programme on ‘Cyber security and hygiene’ was held to create awareness on cybercrimes in present times. It was held at ICAR Research Complex for NEH Region, Nagaland Centre, Medziphema on October 18. 

The resource person was Ninoto I Zhimomi, NCS, ACP Chümoukedima. He elaborated on the latest trends in cybercrime which include scams related to crytocurrency, deepfakes/AI, sextortion, cloning social media accounts, ecommerce, hacking, phishing attacks, malwares/ransomwares, financial frauds, dark web etc.

Sensitizing the audience with illustrations and case studies on victims of cybercrimes in the state, he cautioned the audience to be very vigilant on sharing personal details on digital platforms and gave practical pointers on how to protect ourselves from such scams/attacks.This was followed by an active interactive session. Representatives from Kukidolong Village Council also participated in the programme along with the staff of KVK Dimapur. 

This programme was organized as part of the activities of the ongoing 3-month Vigilance Awareness Campaign 2024 under the mandate of the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC).
