Goods train derails; trains cancelled

Maligaon, August 25 (MExN): 20 wagons of a goods train derailed on August 25 around 11:30 am between Digaru and Panbari stations under Lumding division of NF Railway. Five out of the 20 wagons capsized thereby stopping movement of UP and DN train services between Guwahati and Lumding, informed a press release from PJ Sharma, Chief Public Relations Officer, NF Railway.   A press release from PJ Sharma, CPRO, NF Railway informed that as a result some trains have to be cancelled/ short terminated/ regulated.   On August 26, 15670 Dimapur – Guwahati BG Express, 75730 Silghat Town – Guwahati DEMU, and 55604 Mairabari­ – Guwahati trains will remain cancelled.   Meanwhile, 55615 Guwahati – Silchar of August 26 will originate from Lumding and will remain partially cancelled between Guwahati and Lumding. 15928 New Tinsukia – Rangiya I/City Express will be short terminated in Dimapur and will partially cancel between Dimapur and Rangiya. Further, 15967 Rangiya – Dibrugarh I/City Express of August 26 will remain partially cancelled between Rangiya and Dimapur and will originate from Dimapur.   The release meanwhile informed that 15602 New Delhi – Silchar Poorvattar Sampark Kranti Express will be controlled at Guwahati; 15959 Howrah – Dibrugarh Kamrup Express will be controlled at Guwahati; 14056 Delhi – Dibrugarh Brahmaputra mail will be controlled at Rangiya; 12424 New Delhi – Dibrugarh Rajdhani Express will be controlled at New Bongaigaon; 15910 Dibrugarh – Lalgarh Avadh Assam Express will be controlled at Dimapur; 13174 Agartala – Sealdah Kanchanjungha Express will be controlled at Lumding; 12504 Agartala – Bangalore Humsafar Express will be controlled at Lumding.
