Mokokchung was transported back to an age of Rock N' Roll music last night at the Lords of Rock concert. "You will rock this place tonight" was how the showcase started and the band's energetic performance at Town Hall, Mokokchung. Delivering a stellar two hour performance to a rock hungry crowd- time just flew by.
Complete with professional sound by Audio Garage and Shiu Lights- the band not only reminded but brought home the point that Mokokchung is truly the original town of Rock N' Roll. The energy in the town hall was electric as the crowd sang along all the classic tracks in their full voice. Playing songs from bands like Guns and Roses, Ozzy Osbourne, Extreme, Mr. Big and many more, most of the crowd enjoyed every minute of it.
A multi-talented five member band- lead singer Clement Imsong kept the crowd going with his awesome stage presence. Guitarists Toshimoa and Imkumer, Bassist Akihito also delivered with plenty of style. Drummer Alem also stole the scene as he trashed away on the drum kit.
The band kicked off the show with a classic favorite- All She Wrote by Firehouse. But the biggest reaction of the night was when the band put away their electric instruments and performed their first original track titled "What We're Looking For" which showcased the band's musicality. An acoustic performance, it was kept as a surprise for the Mokokchung audience till the very end.
Another highlight of the night was when Toshimoa showcased his skill of playing the guitar which left the audienc in awe.
Guest bands Rag Dolls and Mannequin also presented stunning performances proving their rock mettle.
By the time the show was brought to an end, Rock N' Roll was very much alive and kicking in Mokokchung town.
