Newmai News Network Aizawl | May 11   Hundreds of Mizos living in Jampui Hills in Tripura, bordering Mizoram today took out a procession under the aegis of Jampui Mizo Convention (MC) demanding the creation of 'Jampui Autonomous Region(Regional Council)’ for the economically backward Mizos in Tripura.   Jampui Hills is a hill range located in the North Tripura district.   Today's procession held between Behliangchhip and BDO Office, Vanghmun was joined by hundreds of people with a large number of motor vehicles, bikes and scooters. The procession aimed at drawing Tripura government’s attention towards their several demands which have been placed much before, Jampui Mizo Convention president Lalramzauha Sailo, who headed the procession said.   Sailo said the procession was a sort of protest against the 'discrimination and negligence' meted out to the Mizos by Tripura government over their several demands which they had already placed before the state government earlier.
