A mass social work and cleanliness drive was conducted in Mokokchung town today organized by the Mokokchung Municipal Council under Swachh Bharat Mission.
Clearing of vegetation overgrowth along roadsides, clearing of clogged drainages and filling up of potholes were some of the main works done along with general cleaning up of the respective residences in all the wards under Mokokchung town. Works in the wards were supervised by the respective ward authorities.
Mokokchung district Swachh Bharat Mission ambassadors also participated in supervising the mass social work. Further, Watsü Mungdang also joined the social work today with more than 60 of their volunteers cleaning up the town's landmark MMC Complex.
