Kohima, October 14 (MExN): A felicitation programme for Taekwondo Boys team and Under 17 Girls Football team was held at Multi Purpose hall A, I.G. Stadium, Kohima on October 14 in the presence of the Director YR&S, Asangla Imti and senior officials of YR&S Department, a press release informed. During the 62nd National School Games held at Telangana, the Nagaland Taekwondo team participated in the Under 14 and Under 17 Boys categories and secured the team champion in the Under 17 Boys category for the first time. The state Taekwondo Team bagged 9 medals during the championship. The Department of YR&S also felicitated the Under 17 girls football team for securing the Runner-up during the Subroto International Football Tournament held at Delhi. Asangla Imti congratulated the players and urged them to keep improving. She promised that the Department will give full cooperation and support in the days to come. She also encouraged the players to maintain discipline, dedication and determination throughout their career as sportsperson.
