Hozukhe, November 12 (MExN): The Ato Area Sports Association 36th GB’s trophy and sports meet concluded today with Yimso Yimchunger, Co-ordinator, Mission Possible International (India) as a Guest of Honour at Hozukhe Village Niuland.
The final match was played between Hozukhe and Loyir. Loyir lifted the 36th GB’s trophy. Sukhato won the volleyball men’s championship while Hozukhe won the women’s event. Loyir won the badminton men’s and women’s events.
Addressing the gathering, Yimchunger said that sports helps people in their personal growth and trains them to be disciplined and focused as leaders and team players which is the need of the hour for the youth.
He also encouraged the teams to undertake sports as a mission to learn and start grooming to be professional players who will be future star players of ISL or in national leagues and bring laurel to the Ato Area and for the state as well.
The programme followed by welcome speech by Yesukha Chishi, Advisor AASA; special songs was performed by Awoka; and vote of thanks was said by Vito Z Sumi, President, AASA.
