Wokha, February 28 (MExN): District Administration Bhandari and Block Task Force, Bhandari, in aegis of Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP), organized a one-day literary program on 28th February 2022 at the Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS) Bhandari, on the theme “Save the Girl Child, Educate the Girl Child”. Competitions on three categories- essay, extempore speech, and slogan were held for girl students.
Additional Deputy Commissioner, Rohit Singh IAS said taking part in competitions among friends at the school level would help build and develop an individual to prepare and face competitions with confidence in later years for career and other challenges in life.
EAC Bhandari, Rohbi Sangtam spoke on the importance of the BBBP programme under the central government which has a vision, a mission, and a target to uplift the girl child without gender discrimination.
Principal GHSS, Bhandari, Sunil Thakur expressed gratitude to the district administration and the BTF on BBBP for their genuine concern towards the progress of girl students through such initiatives.
The winners were awarded certificates and cash prizes and were also designated as agents and ambassadors to create awareness about BBBP amongst the students' community at the local level.
