• Road development projects have become a developmental blunder in our state. Simply cutting down the land has done more harm than good. They should know our mountains are young, yet there are no proper construction policy or it only exist in papers. Those inefficient and dangerously constructed road gets attention only at the cost of human lives, there are many other places in the state where similar man made road calamities awaits, if at all the inspection officials notices them. We surely need a proper road policy and genuine vision towards better and safer road.

• No, since childhood I have never been satisfied with our Nagaland roads. Roads and drainage systems are the most basic essential lifeline of any civilization. When British India annexed the Naga people they first built roads, which led to political, social, and economic extension! Today, many Naga elected leaders, who are to serve the public, are mostly serving themselves in this century! There are numerous reasons for this ill-fated infrastructural disease. Our roads are in ancient shambles, landslides, mudslides, house slides, stone slides, Corruption slides, tribal slides, and religious slides are a few issues we have to start with! To cure ourselves of this problem we all are in, we must do the following: Local people, yes Lokal Naga manu Khan, stop taking land compensation from any source, if we do that we have every right to demand good roads and class infrastructure, we deserve it, and we have an elected government for that purpose!; The concerned Government department discloses the total amount released for every project, timeline, contractor name, and village for all to see, which will promote accountability; The state government has to have a website and human-managed platform, where the public can directly approach their village, and district grievances; Involve the religious bodies to work alongside the state government, if they can accept donations from all corners, they have to do not only soul-saving but save the government's souls too!; If we at least do some of the above, we can sleep peacefully on our road journey and not do a Punjabi-bhangra-inspired dance while traveling on many district roads across Nagaland.
