Wangkhao Angh is also remembered for his donating free land for construction of the present Wangkhao Government College which was named after him. The angh is attributed to have reformed the traditional angh system making the system conducive to modern social setups. “I must say that he was a mediating guide individual between the ancient angh practices at the modern system,” said legislator CL John, chairman of Marcofed & DPDB  of Mon.

Remembering the contribution of the late chief as “profound, vivid, numerous and positive” CL John said he was one of the most capable and truthful leaders, accepting all and giving no different treatment on the basis of caste and position. He worked for the religious and social uplift of the people. He also actively worked with civil organizations, churches and the government for positive change.

In his condolence, the MLA also said, “I have my personal allegiance and love for the great man. In my growing years, I had the privilege to be molded under his wise guidance and advice for greater and better life. Much of my achievement is attributed to his genuine love, guide and mentorship.” The MLA prays to God that he would grant strength and hope to the bereaved.
