ECS’s promoted Ajei-Ai-Whatthat receives Mobile Mart from NABARD

Tiakala Ao, GM/OIC, NABARD, Nagaland RO handing over the key of the Mobile Mart meant for Ajei-Ai-Whatthat, a Noklak-based FPO to Dr Chingmak Chang, Secretary, ECS.

Noklak, January 12 (MExN): The Ajei-Ai-Whatthat,  a Noklak-based Farmer Producer Organisation (FPO) of Noklak District has become  the recipient of the first Mobile Mart to a FPO supported by NABARD in Nagaland.

The Ajei-Ai-Whatthat is promoted by the Eleutheros Christian Society (ECS)  under NABARD's support.

The Mobile Mart was flagged off jointly Tiakala Ao, GM/OIC, NABARD, Nagaland RO and AK Deb, MD, Nagaland State Co-operative Bank Ltd, informed a press release. 

Tiakala handed over the key of the Mobile Mart to Dr Chingmak Chang, Secretary, ECS. 

The financial assistance is provided to enable the former to market their products effectively, it said. 

Lauding the FPO members on the progress made thus far, Tiakala also guided them on the aspects of having a strong business plan and working meticulously to achieve. She further advised the FPO to avail finance from the NStCB for their working capital requirements.

Meanwhile, NStCB MD Deb also assured of arrangement of  working capital loan to FPO and lauded the initiative of NABARD in form of the mobile Mart, the release said. 

Dr Chingmak also expressed gratitude to the NABARD for the support and gave a brief detail about the initiatives of the FPO in the district. 

“This project is expected to directly benefit the 380 shareholders of the FPO who are engaged in aggregation and marketing of agricultural and horticultural produces in Noklak District,” the release added.
