DIMAPUR, JULY 16 (MExN): The Eastern Sumi Students' Union organised a programme to honour 261 students who secured first division in HSSLC and HSLC at Aghunato Town Baptisit Church. 31 students were also rewarded with a citation of cash for securing distinctions in 4 subjects and above. ESSU also felicitated NPSC successful candidates.
The programme was attended by the other civil societies like Aghunato Area Kukami Hoho, Aghunato Area Totimi Hoho, GBs of Aghunato town and Eastern Sumi Sports Association.
Ghuvika Yeptho while delivering the presidential address congratulated the successful candidates. He lauded the Advisor Ikuto Zhimomi, MLA, 34 AC for sponsoring the programme.
The special guest for the programme, Khushito K Awomi, Retd AIG, Prison called upon the students to stay firm in order to achieve one’s goal and added that in the era of competition students need to be dedicated, sincere, disciplined and be God fearing to march forward towards achieving the highest level of success in their life .
He stressed that to be a real competitor in life one must maintain three qualities; firstly one must be physically well maintained and not cause any harm on the body; secondly mental health which is very important to compete with others; and thirdly spiritual health. Mughato Kiba spoke on behalf of successful candidates.
