Inter School Festival held at ARPS Kohima

Kohima, December 13 (MExN): A two-day Inter-School Festival- Constellation 2022 was held at Assam Rifles Public School Kohima from December 12-13. 

The second day of the festival organised by Assam Rifles nuder the aegis of HQ IGAR (N) witnessed nukkad natak (Street play) as part of Project Empathy, in which five different schools of Kohima - G RIO School, Modern Higher Secondary School, Christ King Higher Secondary School, ARPS Chieswema and ARPS Kohima participated.

The two-day festival has resulted in the students becoming more confident about sharing their feelings and emotions with their peers and teachers, informed a press release from PRO HQ IGAR (N).

The participants also learnt to be  more creative in giving expression to their ideas, openly talk about their fears and doubts without being judged and helped  in addressing the discriminatory thoughts and a sense of separation that children experience from one another, it said. 

The project has thrived on storytelling, journaling, artwork, discussions, nukkad nataks and many such creative ways of introducing empathy and compassion to the school ecosystem, it added. 

At the end of the festival, certificates, card games and mementos were presented to each school by Vibha Lakhera, founder of Project Empathy and Brig Harjinder, Chairman ARPS, Kohima. 

Patron, chairman and vice chairman of ARPS, Kohima were also present during the event.
