Khonoma, November 12 (MExN): The St John Bosco School (JBS) Khonoma celebrated its Parents’-cum-Children's Day on November 11, where the school children honoured their parents and parental figures that play a significant role in their lives.

A two-hour cultural programme by children was attended by parents, invitees, church leaders, pastors and grandparents, informed a press release from the school.

In his welcome address, the JBS Principal Rev Fr Solomon Vizo stated that Parents are our first teachers, our first friends and our lifelong mentors.

Meanwhile, Rev Fr C Joseph speaking on the Children's day said they are the most wonderful gift this world has to offer.

He further lauded the children as stars who shine in their unique ways and asked the parents, teachers and adults to stand by these young minds to provide them with the love, care and guidance they need to thrive.

The combined celebration came to an end with the vote of thanks  followed by a common meal, the release added.
