Department of District and Aquatic resources Fishery, Kiphire distributed floating fish seeds and lime under Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana (PMMSY) during 2021-22 to 22-23 to progressive fish farmers in Kiphire district on August 1.
During the programme, Nzanthung Humtsoe, District Fishery Officer, Kiphire said that under the scheme fish seeds were handed over to more than 180 fish farmers/beneficiaries. Fish seeds were distributed to enable the farmers to mitigate the problem faced by farmers in acquiring fish seeds. The fish seeds which were distributed were of high quality and assured of such help towards farmers in the future as well, he informed.
The inputs were handed over to fish farmers by Dr Khumdemo Ezung, Sr Scientists, KVK, Kiphire.
