“Of all our human resources the most precious is the desire to improve” – Anon

A whole new millennium has dawned upon us, and the challenges of effective leadership have never been greater. For, along with changes it carries / brings new prospects and dares and avenues.

We are witnessing the conceiving and birth of awesome technologies on every frontier, exciting new possibilities lay in store ahead. But, sometimes, the anticipation is a kind or a sort of ‘hotchpotch’ with a fair amount of apprehension, as people try to interpret the sometimes blindingly fast changes happening around them. Every day we are bombarded with a plethora of competing message: about products, opportunities, values and lifestyle options or other alternatives.

Along with this diversity, of course which is unprecedented in human history, comes an even bigger or greater cry for ‘visionary leadership.’

We, human beings, need to remember that today’s leader must also be tomorrow’s forecaster, and yesterday’s pupil. He or she must not only seek to be relevant, in touch with the times, but prophetic, yes, much ahead of the times. Know what, what’s more, today’s leaders – in both circles; religious or secular- must be competent to identify not only what the mass need, but also what God might want said and done; prompt in response to the need.”

A true, void of any room from corruption, leader must also be helpful and practical too, that amply describes the developments in the life of an effective and successful leader. Help identify just where you are; right then and right now. One way or the other way round, more importantly, seek to learn, adapt and suitable is practical help to build and develop the quality character strengthens and various skills a leader need to reach your full God-given potential as a leader of others – that’s the general, fair publics.

A true (to the core) leader himself is an excellent teacher, motivator and trainer in leadership development. To inherit, or in other words, to study and learn from running experiences.

Life combined with an in depth study in the field of leadership, working in a culturally diverse part of the globe do gives a keen insight into what makes effective leaders tick. No matter if one (leader) is leading / commanding fifty odd people or a massive fifty thousand people, what really matter or counts is the foundational principles that shapes the “Thinking and Actions of a good, upright and strong leader.” As such, they do not undergo a change. In fact, it is an investment; not only in yourself, but in the people you are seeking to develop; for a leader can develop both at heart and skill without violating principles.
