The newly elected team of the Model Christian College Students’ Council.
KOHIMA, AUGUST 13 (MExN): Model Christian College conducted elections for the students’ council of the college for tenure 2022-23 on August 12. The candidates were allowed to give campaign speeches after which votes were casted, counted and the results declared thereafter.
Yansathung Kikon of BA 5th semester was elected as the President of MCCSU and Nicholas Jami of B Sc 3rd semester was elected the Vice President. The other elected executives are General Secretary, Kumsuto Wotsa; Joint Secretary, Verahu Rose; Games and Sports Secy, Vimugha Awomi; Joint Games and Sports Secretary, Vikali Achumi; Information and Publicity Secretary, Suneplila Ozukum; Cultural Secretary, Thumaichipen Chang; Literary Secretary, Kezevino Zutso; Women Co-ordinator, Arhoni Y Ezung; and Treasurer, Thepfurokonuo Kuotsu.
The result declaration by the Election Committee of the college was followed by oath taking which was administered by Dr Luke Rymbai, the principal of the college. Thereafter, Students Dean and the Chief Election Commissioner, Vikhoho Sothu, exhorted the newly elected team.
