Guwahati, March 15 (MExN): An awareness programme was held in observance of World Consumer Rights Day at the NERIM premises to celebrate the rights of consumers on March 15.
During function was graced by AFA Bora, AJS, Rtd President, District Consumer Redressal Commission; Sujata Dutta, AJS Secretary, DLSA, Kamrup (M) and Alisha Gogoi, Advocate, Gauhati High Court.
They stressed on the muted nature of consumers’ awareness regarding their rights and they amplified the importance and need of bringing them to a state of awareness.
The Director, NERIM Group of Institutions, Prof Sangeeta Tripathi, in her address stressed on the importance of the necessary recourse that Consumers have as citizens and the legal implications of the same.
The Registrar, NERIM Group of Institutions, Prof Debaprasad Misra and Principal, NERIM Law College, Dr Md Sultan Haidar Alam and also all the faculty members of NERIM Law College attended the programme.
