NSCN/GPRN (K) clarifies on kidnapping allegation

DIMAPUR, AUGUST 28 (MExN): The NSCN/GPRN (K) today issued a statement clarifying on the arrest of two if its cadres by the Dimapur Police on charges of kidnapping an employee of Symbiosis Creations Private Limited on August 26.

A press release from the MIP of the NSCN/GPRN (K) said that on August 25, one person had “lodged a complaint to the NSCN authority in connection to duping/cheating case related to purchase of a motorcycle.”

It informed that accordingly an investigation was initiated and “the culprit was found at Midland colony on August 26 and taken to working office for further inquiry and thorough clarity.” The press release said that the NSCN cadres were “completely ignorant” of the person’s employment in Symbiosis Creations Pvt Limited. It further said that the manager of the company “personally came to the West Police Station to withdraw the FIR citing the incident as mere misunderstanding and misinformation.”

It however claimed that “while the problem was being sorted out,” youths came to the police station “in mob, took away the lady manager without allowing her to complete the formalities and forcibly registered the FIR as kidnapping offence.”

It therefore urged the DAYO, BAN and ALT “to ascertain the facts before rushing to the media accusing the organisation of criminal conduct.”

The NSCN/GPRN (K) further claimed that the “culprit” was “found to be guilty of selling the motorcycle with fake/ forged documents and not innocent or a victim of kidnapping.” It further stated that the private company concerned “has nothing to do with the criminal case.”
