NSUI Nagaland seeks student discounts for public transport

Dimapur, April 22 (MExN): The National Students’ Union of India, Nagaland State has requested the Kohima Regional Transport Authority (RTA) Chairperson to publish the latest public transport rates.

A press release from the NSUI Nagaland on Friday informed that it had submitted a letter the RTA Chairperson, underlining that several public transport vehicles operating in Kohima are charging exorbitant fares. “There are no definite or uniform rates for taxis and other public transportation services which cause a huge toll on the public particularly the student community who has to rely on such services every day,” the letter stated.

Requesting the RTA to publish the latest rates of public transport, the NSUI Nagaland also requested the authority to permits students uniforms to avail certain discounts.
