Obama kills Osama

On the 2nd of May 2011, the whole world woke up to the sensational and electrifying news that the world’s most wanted man Osama Bin Laden had been killed in a military operation undertaken by US elite commandos. This was the news which many, especially Americans, had been yearning and craving to hear for almost 10 years.
It was revealed to the world that Osama Bin Laden had been hiding and living in well-fortified compound in a Pakistani town called Abottadad. It was believed that Osama must have been hiding in this house for at least 5-6 years and therefore this fortified compound in Abottabad had been under US surveillance for quite sometime. Through their surveillance satellite cameras, the US personals often noticed a bearded tall man pacing around the fortified compound. And finally, by tracking down the activities of a trusted courier of Osama, the US intelligence became 80-90 % sure that the compound must have been housing none other than the world’s most wanted fugitive. Moreover, the very nature of this fortified compound made the US intelligence realize that the compound must have been housing someone much bigger and much more significant than a mere courier. Once the ‘Go-Ahead’ signal was received from the White House, the US elite commandos (NAVY SEALS) wonderfully executed their proposed special mission resulting in the death of the world’s most wanted fugitive.
It was also revealed that these NAVY SEALS commandos were the most dangerous and elite group of US Special Forces and that they were specially trained and trimmed for this daring military operation. However, till the last minute, none of these commandos were told that they were going to undertake a military operation into a fortified compound in a Pakistani town called Abottabad where Osama Bin Laden was believed to be hiding and living.
This daring military operation got underway in the early hours of 2nd May 2011 when Pakistan was deep asleep and it was successfully winded up even before Pakistan woke up that morning. Here, it is interesting to know that the two special choppers carrying the US Navy Seals commandos were able to enter Pakistan territory undetected by Pakistan’s ever alert radar web. After reaching the targeted fortified compound in Abottadad, one of the choppers crash landed while trying to land within the compound and had to be finally exploded by the Navy Seals themselves as the US could not leave behind a specially designed and never-before-used chopper in Pakistan territory to be explored by a foreign country.
This daring and successfully executed military operation undertaken deep inside Pakistan territory made a total mockery of Pakistan and its military and intelligence prowess. This is so because everything was done without the notice of Pakistan and when it was still deep asleep on the morning of 2nd May 2011. What is more, all the actions that particular morning took place not far away from where one of Pakistan’s big military bases was located. Pakistan also boasts of being a nuclear power but it seems its nuclear weapons were also deep asleep with the rest that morning. The US choppers also made a total mockery of Pakistan’s radar networks by entering and coming out of Pakistani territory undetected.
Since its independence in 1947, Pakistan has been one of the most unstable and trouble-torn countries in the world. Pakistan has often found itself in the news for all the wrong reasons. Almost all terror attacks carried out across the world has a Pakistani connection it is alleged. It is also alleged that all the world’s most wanted fugitives always find a safe haven within Pakistan territory. The result of all these is that Pakistan is believed to be a country that has to be always on alert and on vigil. Indeed for a foreigner or an outsider, it must have been always a nightmarish experience to enter or live in Pakistan because of the security concerns and because they would be eyed with suspicion and distrust wherever they go in Pakistan. All these make Pakistan one of the most dangerous and dreaded countries in the world. Thus, it is no surprising that many view Pakistan to be a country where danger or even death is lurking in every nook and corner.
However, despite all these, the USA and its elite commandos were still daring enough to go ahead with this mission and they were smart enough to enter Pakistan unnoticed and undetected on the morning of 2nd May 2011 and successfully execute one of the most daring military operations in recent times when Pakistan was still deep asleep in its slumber.
This successful military operation undertaken by the US on the early hours of 2nd May 2011 once again proved to the world the military supremacy of the USA. It clearly established the fact that the USA is still No. 1 as far as military equipments, technicalities, strategies and intelligence services are concerned.
Therefore, there may be no arguments that Pakistan and the ISI are some of the smartest things around. But the truth still remains that the USA and CIA are still a hundred and ten times smarter than them.
Even for Barack Obama, I believe that this successful intelligence and military mission resulting in the killing of the world’s most wanted man would undoubtedly remain in the annals of US history as one of the most (if not the most) unforgettable and remarkable episode of his presidency. This is so because even though it was his predecessor Mr. George Bush who initiated all the necessary  operations and investigations in the immediate years following 9 / 11, Bush remained unsuccessful in the attempt to rid the world of Osama Bin Laden despite setting in motion one of the biggest man-hunts ever carried out in human history. The world will always remember that it was during the tenure of Barack Obama that Osama Bin Laden was finally traced out and eliminated and therefore the world will remember that it was Barack Obama who finally signed the death warrant of Osama Bin Laden. Thus, in a way, it was George Bush who dug the grave of Osama but it was Barack Obama who finally buried the most dreaded man from Afghanistan who terrorized the world for over 2 decades.
Now, let me mention here how I encountered this sensational and electrifying news. This commando operation took place in the early hours of 2nd May 2011 and therefore the local dailies did not carry this news on 2nd May 2011. It was carried by the dailies only on 3rd May 2011. This news was probably all over the TV news channels by the morning of 2nd May itself but I did not get the opportunity to watch the TV news channels that morning. Therefore I was totally unaware of this sensational news till the late afternoon of 2nd May 2011.
That day (2nd May 2011) I was roaming in the school education directorate office with some old friends. But none of them knew that the world’s most wanted man had been killed in a place called Abottabad early that morning. At around 3:30 pm that day, I received a text on my phone. It was from a former friend and classmate of mine informing me that Osama Bin Laden had been killed by US elite commandos in a Pakistani town called Abottabad early in the morning. I read the message but I did not believe what I had just read. I did not believe because I thought that it was something too good to be true.
After I reached home that evening, I happened to flip through the TV news channels and learnt that Osama Bin Laden had indeed been killed in a spectacular military operation undertaken by US elite commandos (NAVY SEALS). Thereafter, for about 3 months, I became literally obsessed with this news as I went about trying to know everything I could about this daring military operation from the TV news channels, magazines and newspapers. For me, this daring military operation of 2nd May 2011 resulting in the death of Osama Bin Laden would certainly remain as the most sensational international news of the year 2011.
