SASRD conducts UPSC, NPSC & IBPS counselling for students

DIMAPUR, JUNE 25 (MExN): The Counseling & Placement Cell NU: SASRD organized a career counselling workshop on June 25.  The program focused to orient the agricultural students of NU: SASRD and equip them to excel in various competitive examinations conducted by UPSC, NPSC, IBPS, and NABARD. B.Sc(Hons.) Agri. and M.Sc (Agri.) students currently enrolled in SASRD campus of Nagaland University participated in the program. 

The workshop included two sessions. In the morning session, Saket Saurav, faculty of Imperial IAS Academy Kohima oriented the students on UPSC civil services and NPSC exam. He thoroughly deliberated on detailed syllabus, pattern of exam and resources materials for preparing General Studies. He also shared various strategies and techniques to attempt the GS paper of Civil Services prelims exam confidently. 

Afternoon session was taken by Satish Gupta, faculty of Imperial IAS Academy Kohima. He oriented the students on preparation strategy and aptitude skills for UPSC civil services CSAT, IBPS exam for recruiting Agricultural Specialist officers in Govt. Banks as well as NABARD examinations. He also conducted some mock sessions on quantitative section. 

In his concluding remarks, Prof KK Jha, I/C Counseling & Placement Cell, thanked Prof. Aleminla Ao, Pro Vice –Chancellor and Prof. Akali Sema, Dean NU: SASRD for providing all needed facilities and help and other administrative officials and staff for their full co-operation in organizing a series of counselling programs in the campus in the current semester. He also thanked the entire team of Student Union SASRD for their co-ordination in successful accomplishment of the programs.  

Invocation prayer was offered by Vezolo-U, EU president and feedback on usefulness of the counselling sessions was given by Khrienuo Liezietsu representing the Students Union, Amentoli H Sumi from M.Sc (Ag), Bepen Ngullie, Chemkai M Konyak and Metsongmalem M Chang representing III Yr, II Yr and I Yr B.Sc (Hons.) Agri students respectively.
