Sentilong Ozukum launched his fourth book ‘The Case of Longti village’ at Urban Hub Café, Mokokchung on October 23. The book was released by Bendang Walling, Film maker and Director, Hill Theatre.
During the Book launch event, Bendang Walling spoke about how the book is a reality check for a lot of social evils that exist in the society. He also talked about how he wished to adapt the book into a movie in the near future.
Ronojyoti Roy gave a review of the book during the book launch.
Sentilong Ozukum while giving the author’s note thanked everyone for the love and support. He told the audience about how the current situations and problems in the state inspired him to write the book. He also said that the main theme of the book is about story-telling.
The book ‘The Case of Longti village’ is a thriller and a mystery novel published by the Bookipedia Publications, Mokokchung. It comes as the first book being published by Bookipedia Publications. Bookipedia Publications is an initiative undertaken by Bookipedia foundation with the objective of providing a platform for emerging writers in the state and beyond to publish their works across genres and to bridge the gap between talent and opportunities.
Bookipedia Publications was registered as a publishing house with the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India in the year 2020. ‘The Case of Longti village’ is the first publication of Bookipedia Publications.
Under the aegis of the foundation, Bookipedia Library, a free library has been established in 2019 to encourage readership. Apart from Bookipedia Library and Bookipedia Publications, the foundation is also sponsoring students from economically weaker section of the society for their educational pursuits.
100% of the proceeds from ‘The Case of Longti village’ will go toward sponsoring more students in pursuit of their dreams in the coming days informed the author.
Sentilong Ozukum’s previous works include Campus Blues (2010), Sincerely Yours (2017) and Dreams and Chaos (2020). The book will be available in selected stores across the state and it will also available online at Ilando.
