Shamator, June 22 (MExN): The Department of Fisheries & Aquatic Resources organised a training on ‘Fish pond management and integrated fish farming system’ under education training and extension programme at GMS, Shamator on June 22.

A DIPR report stated that the training resource person, District Fishery Officer, Shamyung Ongh speaking on Pond Management and Benefits of composite fish culture’ emphasized on adoption of scientific fish ‘culture by management practices and adoption of composite fish culture to enhance fish production and for increasing of livelihood income of the farmers. Resource person Assistant Fishery Inspector, Chothihu Rahkho highlighted on ‘Integrated Fish Farming System.’

During the training, the trainees were distributed floating fish feeds and fish fingerlings under PMMSY 2022-23. A total of 30 benificiaries from Shamator and Chessore block along with Technical Officials from the department attended the programme.
