Dimapur, April 19 (MExN): Dimapur Police have arrested four persons over the past week for alleged sale of liquor. According to a press release from the Dimapur Police PRO, the first of the arrest was made on April 16 when a team of Dimapur Police raided a Xerox shop in DC Court Junction and recovered 40 cases of assorted IMFL. Two persons identified as Gaurav Kumar, 23 years, and Sunil Das, 24 years, were arrested.
On April 17, Dimapur Police raided a shop at Nagarjan Junction where only mineral water bottles were displayed and recovered six cases of IMFL. In this connection, one person identified as Rahul Das, 20 years, a resident of United Colony, Nagarjan, Dimapur, was arrested, the PRO informed.
On April 18, Dimapur Police led by Amit (IPS) conducted surprise raid in a shop located at Purana Bazaar, near Hollohon Petrol pump, and recovered 20 cases of assorted IMFL. In this connection, Rajendra Singh, 37, a resident of Purana Bazaar, Dimapur, was arrested.
A case has been registered for each of the incidents and investigations are ongoing, the Dimapur Police PRO informed.
