57th ZVYSO annual sports meet commences

The 57th annual sports meet 2019 of Zhadima Village Youth & Sports Organization (ZVYSO) got underway today at Zhadima village under Kohima district.


The grand opening ceremony was graced by Roko Angami, president, Nagaland Football Coaches Association (NFCA) and VDB Secretary Zhadima as chief guest.


"My life in football journey is not easy, therefore nothing comes easy to be successful," said Roko while addressing the inaugural function.


He said that time management is very important for every profession.
Being obedience to parent, elders and leaders is very necessary to excel in every sphere, he added.


“You cannot change yesterday but you can do something today that can change tomorrow,” he told the gathering.


Kezhangulie Theünuo chaired the inaugural function while ZVYSO president Vizosielie Khoubve delivered presidential address.


Zhadima Students’ Union president Kekhrieleo shared greetings.


ZVYSO games and sports secretary Sazolie administered oath to the participating teams and day one event kicked start with track and field events.


The meet will continue till January 5.


The annual fest will end with a youth concert by Methaneilie Jütakhrie and various local artists.
