ACVA Wokha warns of ‘indefinite bandh’

Wokha, December 14 (MExN): All Commercial Vehicle Association (ACVA) Wokha has resolved to impose “total indefinite bandh” from December 18 within Wokha jurisdiction following “seizure of two vehicle (taxi) keys” at a taxi counter in Kohima allegedly by NSCN (IM) for “not entertaining yearly vehicle tax.”

In a meeting on December 14, the Association decided to impose the bandh if the NSCN (IM) fails to hand over the keys to the owners on or before December 16, according to a statement from AVCA Wokha president, Y Bankathung Lotha, Action Committee convenor, Khonthungo Lotha, and general secretary, C Renbi Ngullie. Expressing dismay over the incident, AVCA Wokha further appealed to the Kohima district administration and law enforcement to give protection to Wokha bound taxis for the safety of public.
