AGEI Wokha suspends services

Wokha, March 26 (MExN): The Assemblies of God East India (AGEI) Wokha section has informed churches under its jurisdiction to suspend regular church services and all masses until further notice.


The churches were also directed to keep the church doors open for the desiring believers to offer prayers whenever they want to. While praying and meditating oneself inside the church, believers are advised to practice social distancing as a precautionary measure to protect oneself, the AGEI Wokha section press release stated. 


Further, it directed churches to ring the church bells during normal service timing to remind the believers to pray at home in a family setting. Apart from the individual and family prayers, AG Churches are requested to organize chain prayers and pray for all the world, irrespective of caste, race and denomination.  


Further, it directed the churches not to have general or church board meetings and to avoid any ordinances (Mass) during this situation to show solidarity with the rest of the world in combating the COVID – 19 pandemic.
