APO congratulates FNR, Rev Dr Wati Aier

•-The Angami Public Organisation (APO) congratulates the Forum for Naga Reconciliation (FNR) and share the joy of the recognition award made to its Convenor, Dr Rev. Wati Aier, by the Baptist World Alliance, with the 2011 Denton & Janice Lotz Human Rights Award, recently at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. APO believes that the award was made not only in recognition to the Convenor FNR and his members efforts alone, but equally and importantly to the Nagas in totality, particularly to all the people who were share holders to the signing of the “Covenant of Peace”, to all those who have uphold the signed Covenant and are steadfastly committed to the cause of Peace, praying for our land to be healed with God’s guidance. APO appeals to all section of the Nagas to be committed to the mandated cause of peace, to make ourselves trustworthy before the world that we are peace loving people and a nation that stands by the virtues of God the Almighty.
At a confused and unabated turmoil point of time that marred our society, the initiations of the FNR headed in the personality of Dr Aier and his committed members in making ways for the warring Naga political groups to come together for the sake of Peace is a “prized chapter” in the making of the Naga political history. The brokering of the ceasefire within the different Naga political groups indeed had saved many precious souls and many hurts and wounds that were looming imminent then within our society was quelled. APO wishes Dr Aier and his FNR team the very best and conveys unflinching solidarity to them as they weaver on to broker peace for our land.
