ARSU seeks justification from NSF

Dimapur, July 10 (MExN): The Akuluto Range Students' Union (ARSU) has stated it is compelled to seek justification from Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) for its “partiality” and hurting the sentiments of all the Sumis by organizing a programme on the day of Tuluni.

The union through its president, Jepito Chishi in a press note also condemned the “intention of those leaders who cannot uphold their responsibility to serve the common interest” and demanded “mass resignation of all the incumbent (NSF) leaders.”

ARSU asserted that it fully supports the SKK and decides not to co-operate with NSF in future until they tender apology to Sumi tribe in general. The union also asked its apex bodies, including Sumi Hoho, STH, SKK, Sumi Kukami Hoho, to strictly initiate the ultimatum served to NSF and demand justice for Sumis.

Meanwhile, it urged the Sumi leaders to continue to “strengthen the unity and progress of our people at this hour of humiliation.” Until further notice from SKK, ARSU stated, it will remain firm in its decision and will cooperate with SKK in all its further actions.
