Longleng, January 25 (MExN): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Longleng district held a meeting on January 22 regarding the party’s recommendation for ticket to contest in the forthcoming elections to the 13th Nagaland Legislative Assembly scheduled for February 28.
The meeting resolved that the recommendation in regards to the district should be made by concerned District and Mandal Executives as per earlier submission to Ananda Mishra, BJP Nagaland in-charge on May 6, 2017, stated a press release from B. Ajoy Phom, president and B. Chemben Phom, general secretary of BJP Longleng district.
Meanwhile, it decided that the recommendation should be made as per BJP constitution – a candidate should be qualified, winnable, have concern for the party, love and show mercy to BJP workers, the release stated. The meeting attended by BJP Longleng district executives, Mahila, BJYM, MM, KM of 49th Tamlu A/C and 50th Longleng A/C Mandals was held at BJP head office Longleng.
