‘Bless Nagaland’ prayer festival underway in Mokokchung

The three-day Bless Nagaland Prayer Festival of Jesus Calls ministry got underway here this evening at Imkongmeren Sports Complex where thousands gathered to listen to the Word of God, with more than a hundred believers travelling from beyond Mokokchung to attend the prayer festival. Dr. Paul Dhinakaran and family are the main speakers in the event that is being organized by a motley conglomeration of various churches from various denominations with the blessings of ABAM. The prayer festival begins at 4:00 pm on all three dates.

The programme this evening began with a welcome address and introduction by Rev.Dr. K. Dhanbir Rai, co-convenor of the organizing committee followed by the inaugural prayer pronounced by Rev. Lima, pastor of Kumlong Baptist Church. The new Deputy Commissioner of Mokokchung, Limawapang Jamir also delivered a short speech which also happened to be his first public appearance after assuming office. Special number presentation by Youth Choir of Artang Baptist Church, testimonies and offerings were the other highlights of the evening. Dr. Paul Dhinakaran and Evangeline Paul Dhinakaran took the pulpit for ministry and prayers while Samuel Paul Dhinakaran also lead the praise and worship. Earlier n the day, a Jesus Calls Prayer Tower was also opened by the Dhinakaran family at Longkumer Kilem, Mokokchung.

Apart from the evening prayers at the main venue, the Dhinakarans will also be speaking at Sunday devotionals at MTBA, Nagaland Christian Revival Church Mokokchung Town, Yimyu Baptist Church and Ungma Baptist Church.
