Dimapur, April 17 (MExN): The Chakhroma GBs Union (CGBU) has expressed pain over the sudden demise of Zeneivi Chase, GB of Rüsoma village.
“A true leader and a noble soul, Late Zeneivi served our people in various capacities such as President of Kohima District GBs Association, Finance Secretary of the Nagaland GB Federation and Convenor of Angami GBs Association's Customary Court Building Committee,” stated a press release from CGBU.
“Late Zeneivi had zealously worked for our people and strongly advocated for the correct interpretation and usage of Naga Customary Laws. He worked tirelessly and had greatly contributed towards the welfare of the GBs of Nagaland in general and the Angamis in particular. His contributions will always be remembered and cherished,” it added.
The GB union further said that in his death, it has lost “a great fatherly figure who was always ready to assist with his knowledge and wisdom and who stood as a strong pillar on whom we can always rely on.” It prayed that God grant solace and comfort to the bereaved family members.
