Dimapur, August 17 (MExN): The general body meeting of the Christian Forum Dimapur (CFD) was held at Bethesda Children Home at Walford, Dimapur on August 15.
Altogether 39 members form the Baptist, NCRC, Assembly of God Catholic Church and other Christian ministries of Dimapur attended the meeting. “The purpose of the meeting was to evaluate the functioning of CFD, and elect new leadership team as well as to identify the areas of intervention for the coming three years,” stated a press release issued by the Forum.
Rev. Tenga Sep, Chairman, Dimapur Baptist Pastor’s Fellowship offered the invocation prayer, Rev. RP Murry, Chairman CDF welcomed and chaired the meeting; Activity Report of the CFD was presented by Fr. Chacko Karinthayil, Secretary, CDF and the Financial Report was presented by Rev. Thebemo Lotha, Treasurer, CDF followed by business hour.
The assembly through the nomination committee elected new office bearers of the CFD with Pastor Moses Murry as Chairman Rev. S. Vitoshe Swu- Vice Chairman, Fr.Dr. CP Anto- General Secretary, Rev. Wungo Chingmak- Assistant General Secretary and Pastor Pekrusetuo Angami as the Treasurer.
The outgoing Chairman Rev. R.P Murry thanked the different churches of Dimapur for the cooperation extended to the endeavors of the forum till the present day. Rev. Yecto Chopy, Assistant Secretary of the Forum proposed vote of thanks and Rev. N. Paphino, President, NCRC offered the benediction prayer.
