Couple from China donates Science Kits to Mhainamtsi GMS

Peren, March 27 (MExN): With the generous donation of Tobin Holden, Principal of Wai Hai International School in China and his wife Daina Holden, Head of Science Department, Mhainamtsi Government Middle School, Jalukie, Peren received sets of Science Kits through Elementary and Secondary levels from Socio-economic Education and Ecological Development Society (SEEDS), Jalukie on March 25.  

In a short release programme, Rev. HM Gonmei, Director of SEEDS stressed on the importance of quality education, encouraged the students to work hard and expect positive outcome from the facility. He said SEEDS, in collaboration with the VEC, will set up a separate Science Laboratory for the school. “SEEDS is committed to serve the community and environment by linking/bridging between the needy and the donors,” the Director said.  

Rejoice Kamei, Headmaster of LMH School Mhainamtsi acknowledges that the school is “first to have the facility” among the government middle schools of the district and urged the students to excel in studies by utilizing the lab facility to the maximum in learning and not to let the opportunity go wasted”.  

VEC, Chairman, K. Adin also expressed appreciation to the SEEDS and the Holdens for their Samaritan action and hopeful to uplift the progress of the school by the contribution.  

The School informed in a press release that the programme was chaired by Matthew Gonmei V.President SEEDS and opening prayer was offered by Singamang Head GB. Adailiu Teacher-in-charge GMS Mhainamtsi delivered vote of thanks. “Dedication of the Science Kit” was led by Pastor Kentipe MBC and concluded with equipment display by Neiladai Science Teacher. It was attended by hosts of members from SEEDS, VEC, village council, youth, church, teachers and students.
