Dimapur Road monoliths unveiled

Monoliths of I. Vikheshe Sumi Road and Dr. Hokishe Sema Road were unveiled by Chairman, Sumi Council Dimapur (SCD), Kuhoi Zhimomi on Saturday in the presence of church leaders and Sumi community leaders.  

Monolith of I. Vikheshe Sumi Road covering the stretch from Clock Tower Junction to Tragopan Junction was unveiled at Tragopan Junction while the monolith of Dr. Hokishe Sema Road covering the stretch from Dhobinalla (Jakhalu Complex) to Thahekhu Junction was unveiled at Dhobinalla junction. SCD erected the monolith at Tragopan Junction in honour of Lt. I. Vikheshe Sumi, former minister “for his selfless works to the society.” The second monolith was erected in honour of Lt. Dr. Hokishe Sema “an upright and honest pioneer of Nagaland hailing from Sutemi Village in Zunheboto and served the people of Nagaland as Administrative Officer, MLA, Minister, Chief Minister of Nagaland and Governor of Himachal Pradesh over a span of 50 years.”
