Dimapur, February 12 (MExN): The Dimapur Traffic Police along with the rest of the country observed a week long National Road Safety Awareness on the theme “Sadak Suraksha – Jeevan Raksha “ from February 4-10. During the week long observance, Dimapur Traffic Police distributed pamphlets and bookmarks on road safety to School students and citizens, apart from setting up of banners at various locations.
The Officer-in-Charge, Zone – I, Mhathung Patton delivered lecture on Traffic Rules to Air Warriors and families at Air Force Rangapahar, Dimapur. Free medical camp for auto drivers was conducted at AM/PM Petro Pump Chümoukedima with medical team from HK Hospital. A short awareness programme on Road Safety was also held with auto drivers at Chümoukedima and Dimapur Train Station in collaboration with Dimapur Auto Drivers Union.
Girls Scooty Rally was organized in addition, to create Road Safety Awareness. Dimapur Traffic Police in a press note issued by ADC of Police/PRO extended its gratitude to Apex Motor and Okusa Automobiles Pvt. Ltd., HK Hospital, DADU and the public for the support and cooperation.
