Longleng, December 15 (DIPR): Eastern Club Tamlu village celebrated its Silver Jubilee on December 8 at Tamlu village under Longleng district. Executive Engineer DRDA Kohima O. Thokphen graced the occasion as the chief guest and unveiled the Jubilee monolith and Eastern Park. The Eastern Park first of its kind in Tamlu area was constructed by the Eastern Club in commemoration of Silver Jubilee.
The chief guest lauded the club for social services rendered toward the society during the last 25 years and also expressed happiness over the club’s tireless effort to construct the Park for beautification of the village.
SDO (C) Tamlu W. Manpai and Chairman Tamlu Village Council Phühnem also exhorted the gathering. Folk songs and special numbers were presented by various groups and clubs. Public leaders, village elders, public and well wishers from neighbouring villages attended the celebration.
