Election is Voter’s festival, please participate: CEO

Kohima, February 24 (MExN): The Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of Nagaland State has termed election a “Voter’s festival” and requested all electors, especially newly enrolled electors, to “participate in expressing our freedom of choice through voting.” “Let us participate in the Election just like we participate in other festivals,” stated the CEO Nagaland in a message to voters.

Nagaland is set to go to polls on February 27 to elect its 59 members for the 13th Nagaland Legislative Assembly. The voting will be from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm. “As electors of the World’s Largest Democracy, it is our bounden duty to come out,” noted the CEO Nagaland. He also urged everyone for “ethical and informed voting” while standing for the pledge, ‘one person one vote.’ The CEO reminded: Your vote makes your future; your vote is precious; do not sell your vote; every single vote counts, and do not miss this day!
