On the occasion of Rashtriya Krida Diwas 2018 (National Sports Day-August 29), the Nehru Yuva Kendra, Kiphire in collaboration with the District Administration organised an essay competition on the life and story of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel at the DC conference Hall on August 29.
Thsatila of Agape School followed by Ventsuthong of Cambridge School and Puja Kumari of El Beth School were declared the first, second and third position winners respectively.
Aketo V, NYK volunteer while giving the keynote address presented a sketch on the life of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and asked the students to carry on the good legacy of the leader. He also recollected the life of the leader and the vision he had for the county.
Lipichem, Administrator, Agape School Kiphire who was present to give away the prices congratulated the students for coming forward in taking part in extracurricular activities.
