Nagaland’s Minister for Home Y. Patton on Wednesday initiated an open public interaction here at Hotel Japfu for Yikhum villagers to reach out to his supporters.

Home Minister said that at present the Naga Politics are inherited by ‘ism’ politics like favouritism to village and areas or favouritism in other way. He, however said favouritism politics is a stumbling block politics for the candidates and even to the voters, which will lead to hamper their future politics.

Touching on clean election, he urged his supporters not to be follower of money and power politics but urge them exercise their franchise democratically. Patton also thanked his supporters for sharing their grievances and future developmental aspects.

He also stressed on the need to elect the right leader who can bring more development to the constituency and the state in general. More than 200 Yikhum villagers including Yikhum citizens from Wokha, Kohima and Dimapur turned up at the programme.
