First Nagaland Music Industry Stakeholders Conclave on June 21

Catching up with the World Music Day happening on June 21, Nagaland under the ‘first Nagaland Music Industry Stakeholders Conclave’ powered by Music Task Force and managed by Imagi.NATION is going to make music entertainment multifarious, contributory and profiting by holding conclave, concert, open mic and holding donation drive. 

Under the theme, ‘Music and Arts to greater heights,’ the music event will be held at RCEMPA, Jotsoma, this was announced at a press conference in Kohima today. 

A four phase event, Advisor, Youth Resources & Sports, Er Zale Neikha will be the guest in the formal event in the morning. Artists like Nise Meruno and Marmenla Pongen will share their stories and perform. 

During the conclave, a group discussion and consultation will be held. The workshop to be conducted in four groups will hear from musicians and stakeholders. This will touch topics of Music education, choir, artist management, and production. 

During the concerts, the crowd will witness artists from old to young, all genres and melodies. Veteran musician Methaneilie Jütakhrie will open the concert and the concert will close with Dj Kevin Lywait from Bombay. 

There is a line-up of 17 bands and 60 artists. Some popular ones are Trance Effect, Moko Koza, Tetseo Sisters, Keneisenuo Sorhie, WMD Choir, Bozio Neinu and many more. 

Incorporating more entertainment Bart forms, a dance crew of 60 children from different dance school is also performing here. 

An open mic, which is exclusively for any interested musicians, is also aimed at encouraging upcoming musicians and an opportunity for them to showcase their talents. It's a first come, first get opportune. 

The event registration is just Rs 20 and this is an open invitation for all, the organizers said. 

Also as a social service drive, music donation drive is also being called for donating old or unused equipments and items. This can be dropped at RCEMPA. These donated equipments will go into giving to music learning during the Eastern Naga tour starting in October this year. 

The event will also witness the unveiling of a huge wall mural at RCEMPA in dedication to WMD which has been contributed and painted by the Project 72hours. 

The event partners are Audio Garage, Shui Lights, Metal Gear, Beat Devices, Unitex, Project 72 Hours, disong, Imprint and NMC.
