Dimapur, January 2 (MExN): Gorkha Elders Forum Dimapur (GEFD) today facilitated three of its members, for excelling in their respective field of service and contributed towards the Gorkha community. The felicitation programme was held at Ekranipathar under the chairmanship of Ganesh Chetri, President GEFD.
Arthur Edward, proprietor of Living Stone Foundation School, Dimapur, was facilitated for receiving the ‘All India Achievers Award 2000,’ and for establishing his school as one among the best in Nagaland. L.B Pradhan, former State Bank of India (SBI) chief manager, was felicitated for achieving the ‘Club Member SBI’ and Shashak Ghatraj for receiving a certificate of ‘Excellence in Entrepreneurship of India 2010.’
During the meeting, the Forum discussed the future plans and also the enrollment of new members. This is the first GEFD meeting since attaining registration from the State government.
Earlier, invocation was pronounced by pastor, Nepali Baptist Church, Padum Pukhuri Dimapur. Welcome address by James Khati, V- President GEFD after that followed by lunch and second session Moreover, prominent Gorkhas along with their families attended the event which made the programme a great success.
