‘Homiletic Lab: Skill Development in Preaching’

Mokokchung, January 22 (MExN): A three-day workshop on the theme “Homiletic Lab: Skill Development in Preaching” was organized at Clark Theological College, Aolijen from January 19 to 21. Eight intensive sessions were conducted covering the following topics: ‘Homiletics: an overview’, ‘Importance of Homiletics’, ‘Major Types of Sermons’, ‘Elements of Sermon’, ‘Plots and Moves in Sermon’, ‘Text to Sermon-Homiletic Lab’, ‘Sermon Analysis’ and ‘Practical Session of Preparation’. Altogether, 73 BD Final year students participated in the workshop organized by Clark Communication and Cultural Research Centre (CCCRC) in collaboration with Werner College of Preaching (WCP). Resource persons were Prof. Alfred Stephen and C. Bendangonen Jamir.
