Kohima, January 15 (MExN): The first Kohima District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) Meeting for the year 2020 was held at DPDB's Conference Hall, Kohima on January 15. The meeting was chaired by ADC Kohima, Lithrongla Tongpi Rutsa.


As per DIPR report, the first agenda was on registration of new society forwarded by the Screening Committee where the representatives of the societies highlighted the concept and objective of its societies to the board and decided to take further necessary action for recommendation to the   Government.


On the agenda of up-gradation of Government High School, Kigwema to Higher Secondary School (Science Stream), the matter was discussed and the House decided to re-forward the matter to the District Education Officer to initiate with the concerned School and Managing Board to re-submit the matter to the DPDB for necessary action.


For installation of biometric attendance device at Government High School Sendenyu, Tseminyu, the House deliberated on the issue and decided to forward the matter to the Sub-Divisional Planning and Development Board, Tseminyu for necessary action.


Besides the agenda, ADC Lithrongla who is also the Core Committee Convenor of the Village Adoption Committee (VAC) informed the members to complete their VAC activities by March 31 and submit their activities report by April 10.


In the meeting, presentation on Ayushman Bharat–Pradhan Mantri Jan ArogyaYojana (AB-PMJAY) was given by Dr Hoito Sema, Deputy CMO Kohima. He highlighted the key features and benefits of PMJAY and also the update status of Nagaland as on December 9, 2019. He requested the members to create awareness on the benefits of the scheme in their respective areas.
