LPK Silver Jubilee today
 
Kohima, December 14 (DIPR):
Minister for Urban Development and Higher & Technical Education Nagaland Dr. Shurhozelie will grace the Silver Jubilee of the Lerie Panchayat Kohima on December 15 at St. Mary’s Cathedral Higher Secondary School ground while MLA & Chairman NKVIB and Advisor MTF Nagaland Dr. Nicky Kire will be the Guest of Honour. The evening entertainment galore will be grace by Deputy Chairman State Planning Board Nagaland, Neiba Kronu as the Chief Guest.
 
Aloha annual day on Dec 15
 
Kohima, December 14 (MExN):
The Aloha annual day will take place on December 15 at Red Cross Conference Hall, Kohima at 10:00 AM. Niketu Iralu, Trustee, IofC (MRA) will be the special guest. Neikule Doulo, master franchisee, Aloha Mental Arithmetic, Nagaland will deliver welcome address. The highlights of the programme would include the acknowledgement of the students who have done well in the national level exams and in the story writing competitions.
 
Tening government employees to host New Year feast
 
Tening, December 14 (DIPR):
The Tening Chakam Mai Aruang Tening Village Government Employee Association will organise and host the New Year feast on 1st January 2012 at Tening village. The aim and object of hosting the New Year feast is to carry forward the society, keeping up the name of the Government Employee Association by sharing innovative ideas and experiences and further learn from each other for better communication to maintain peace and prosperity among the members. The Tening Village Government Employee Association also remembers Tanwang, Kaimbia and Ramsung who passed away before the New Year celebrations. The Union rememberes them with fond memories, a statement stated.
 
Tening Heraka silver jubilee on December 20 and 21
 
Tening, December 14 (DIPR):
The Tening Heraka youth organisation will be celebrating the 25th year Silver Jubilee on December 20 and 21 at Tening village local ground under the theme ‘Realm’s of the Culture’. Director NEZCC, Government of India, Som Kamei, IAS will grace the inaugural function as the chief guest. Cultural extravaganza, youth session, cultural show, dancing, singing, extempore speech, ethnic fashion show, modern dance and song will be the highlights of the programme.

PACSU 8th general conference

Dimapur, December 14 (MExN):
The Phokhungri Area College Students’ Union (PACSU) 8th General Conference is scheduled to be convened from January 6 to 9, 2012 to be held at Sütsü Village, under the theme “Elevating the Status”. Neihu C. Thurr (I.A.S.) Secretary, Urban Development Govt. of Nagaland has kindly consented to grace the occasion as Chief Guest, KrutuThurr, President Phokhungri Area Public Organisation(PAPO) as Guest of Honor and S. Akho Leyri, District Planning Officer Kiphire, Nagaland as Resource Person. Therefore, Thomas Feedhu, President PACSU in a press release has urged all PACSU members, senior students, elders and leaders of Phokhungri Area to attend the Conference positively without fail.
 
National Integration Camp at Mon conducted

Mon, December 14 (DIPR): Six Days District Level National Integration Camp Organized by the NYK, Mon under Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports Government of India was formally inaugurated by MLA Lanpha Wangnao as the chief guest on December 13 at Badminton Stadium, Mon.
he MLA said that the objective of the NIC is to unite the country, regardless of the traditional, cultural and religious practices. For this purpose, he said the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports is encouraging the youths by providing a platform to tour and expose their unique cultural and traditional practices and at the same time learnt from the others, which is also an integral part of education. He also said that education is not only confined to reading and writing alone but also includes the ability to learnt and respect the cultural, traditional and religious practices of other communities.
While delivering a keynote address District Youth Coordinator, NYK Mon, John Makhabo said national integration remains a crucial issue in India. Some divisive factors may be inherent in the history, geography and culture of our country, but there are also forces, like religious fundamentalism, linguistic diversities, regionalism, inequitable development in region wise, age-old caste system, rise in criminal and terrorist activities etc which posed serious challenge to India’s unity and integrity he added and urged all concern to combat the divisive forces and ensure unity, integrity, peace and brotherhood in the country.
Earlier, Lecturer Konjong Higher Secondary School Mon Dr. Manwang conducted seminar on National Integration, Cultural Unity and Indian Cultural heritage. Welcome address was proposed by Nokpang NYC, Mon while Vote of thanks was pronounced by Meren Accountant NYK, Mon. The function was chaired by Chingshei, NYC, Mon.  Other highlights of the programme included special cultural dance by NYK Mon and by participating teams from Assam and Rajasthan.
